The idea for providing others with food allergies information to make their life and the lives of their family and friends easier started shortly after I was diagnosed.
I wasn’t thinking about a website then but I was thinking that information for me and my parents would help us all deal with the life long issue we all had to master. While there are numerous websites with fantastic information I wanted to create a personal space that offered information for the person with the food allergies and their food allergy family and friends.
This website will provide important links to research, advice on how to cope with food allergies, checklists for things like summer camp, travelling, sleeping over a friends house and much more. We will also provide direct insight from medical practitioners, teens with food allergies, and their parents, siblings and other family and friends.
The fact is, when you have a life threatening disease or issue that must be controlled, it is important for those closest to you to be aware and educated. Other than that, life is a piece of cake, or gluten free muffin, depending on whom you are talking to.
Eat well friends!
