13 Year Old Boy Dies of Allergic Reaction

This is not a story anyone wants to hear about.  Food allergies are a serious issue on a global level and it is important that all people are educated – those with allergies, their family and friends, and at least a basic awareness that allergies are real and can have life threatening consequences by EVERYONE ELSE.  In London, Karanbir Cheema died because of his allergies to wheat, gluten, all dairy products, eggs and all nuts.  It sounds like his death could have been avoided, if his peers understood and respected the seriousness of his condition.  If you have allergies and want to learn more about your safety or if you have a child with allergies, please take the time to stay educated and to make sure the school where your child spends much of his or her day is just as educated.
